March 24, 2016:  Letters of Recognition for McU-bot drivers:
Dear Principal Farhat, Could you please recognize student, Faize Alachkar for outstanding leadership in McUbots Robotics? Faize was the only student who responded on short notice. She brought and made goodie bags for fundraising at P-T conferences and manned the table from 3 until 6:15. She expertly got participation from attendees, and effectively created interest in robotics. She managed the demands of exhibitor with excellence, diligently collecting dollars for raffle tickets and cookies, controlling for theft, and engaging passersby with enthusiasm. (We could recognize her, but it would mean so much more coming from you!) Thank you! Of course, Mrs. Simmons is essential and must be recognized for investing hours in research, meetings, strategy, preparation and management. Thanks for supporting our students and Mrs. Simmons and Mr. Mitts (our robotics engineering mentor), in this STEM pursuit.-Mrs. Newman

Dear Mrs. Newman and Mrs. Simmons, It's remarkable what you've been able to do this year by establishing and promoting the 1st middle school robotics team in Dearborn. I look forward to working with you and building on everything that has been established this year.   I just spoke to Faize and thanked her for all that she's done this year and she is excited about being a part of this again next year. Looking forward to next year. - Principal Farhat

Dear Principal Farhat, I also agree with Mrs. Newman about Faize and her OUTSTANDING LEADERSHIP SKILLS YESTERDAY! Mrs. Renee Newman has also been very critical to the development of our team.  She was the only parent present at the ENTIRE competition in Howell in December.  She also helped with our end of the season party in December. Most of all, Mrs. Newman attended our meeting on Tuesday.  She is the only parent that has ever attended a meeting and CONTRIBUTED TO OUR FORWARD MOVEMENT.  She suggested a fundraising table during PTC and in LESS THAN 24 hours SETUP, DECORATED, AND PROVIDED MOST of the treats YESTERDAY. If possible, please recognize FAIZE and MRS. RENEE NEWMAN FOR THEIR OUTSTANDING WORK WITH the MCU-BOTS. -Mrs. Simmons
